Tell me about it! I cleared all my stuff since yesterday. Since I haven't really been paying attention in lecture I have to catch up on readings. I love this forum but the reading time here should be spent on my school work...lol!

Thanks a lot :) filed in last week of July and got approved in mid oct

I hope you get through by this July or aug but a failed refugee seems like a long process looking from experience on the forum. You probably will need to get an ARC and RCMP fingerprints if you have left jamaica.

Ok on the letter she got saying she received sponsor approval, there should be a file # that starts with an F*********
This is your number so you can log onto ECAS for yourself and check your side.
Identification type: Click on immigration file number
Identification number: put the F# in here, no spaces
Surname:your last name
Date of birth:your date of birth, this has to match what was on the application
Place of birth:JAMAICA

This will bring you to a page with your name on it and it should say when they received your application for permanent residence in the first blue box. In the second blue box beside your name there should be words here that you can click on. Click on them and that will tell you what stage your application is in.

If your using the client number that doesn't start with an F click on client from the drop down menu. Enter your wife birthday her last name before marriage and canada.

Well I don't think so they never said anything like that spoke to a law over there I would return no problem never heard of a 1 year banned :'(

Okay did you have to check into immigration at the airport before boarding the plane? Did you sign any paper? If you have no ban that's great but it's still a long process you will probably need an ARC which is 400.00 process can take up to 4 months.
