Kingston is working hard! They are cleaning house!! You are right, the background and security checks do take the longest but if all is clean then it will be speedy. For immigration purposes, in 2011 Canada/US integrated their security systems so I believe this should make this process even quicker seeing that everything is now centralized and it would be seamless for CSIS to do back ground checks.

Are these background and criminal checks for the applicant as if the sponsor has already been approved then I take it that those checks for the sponsor would have already been done. Right?
