Yes but it is definitely not the way we want it to work.........in a perfect world, hubby would go home for one month and everything be done but that is just dreams lol - heck i could handle 6 months, not 17 :'(

it won't reach so far Chickie. :)

I just called my MP's office and received the same 'it's too early speech'. I very nicely told them it's not too early to know if Kingston received my file and that Kingston has guidelines and they should be informing us if our file was received, in process, answer our emails, etc. She was very understanding...maybe at the point where I almost started crying, and said everyone's case is different (really????) They just sent me a form to complete and said they will be happy to contact Kingston to see where my application is at. I thanked her for giving me an early anniversary present. (Yes, hubby and I are celebrating our one year wedding anniversary tomorrow - APART.)

Awwwwwww Nevaeha. I'll have to get enough confetti for you tomorrow!

does anyone know if I should be speaking directly with the MP? Cuz the woman I spoke to is simply the "case worker" or aka assistant?

i got the Mp's assistant shes the one who helped me - not the actual MP himself....each MP has a designated person that deal i guess with immigration related issues.

This is great! This is a great example of what I was trying to explain earlier. You showed them you are informed and knowledged about the system and they changed their tune! You go girl!!

OK...so....

The forum has been drama free for couple months well now..and because of dat alot of updates been coming out of Kingston....the person who keeps disappearing and coming back putting in their two cents here n there needs to do like mr.vegas and tek weh yuhself.....

It actually disturbed me that after so long, the very same person whos been the mixup all along in the forum cuz of like Anada rightfully said "their MOUT" has brought themself back along with the drama demons they have dragging along with them...

Im sick and tired of this person.....my spirit cant tek yuh 4 some odd reason....and now its time to EXIT...the forum is NOT working for you.... ;D

Good things a come out a kingston...and I need some positive minded people to help push the positive energy over to the Kingston office.........Dont need drama to salt up everyting ya now....chugh.. >:(

WELL SAID!

as per my comment before so you are saying those who aren't knowledgable can't get thru to their MP?
Let me tell you, i told my MP assistant the same bag of KNOWLEDGABLE INFORMATION: some girls with dependents get thru in 7 months some without get thru in 6 months, that Kingston don't ever give AORs to applicants, that people who applied in 2011 still haven't gotten thru, that people from 2012 have, the whole nine yards and she still wouldn't budge so don't be criticizing others about being knowledgable or not, the MPs will help you they want to and they won't if they don't want to that is all there is too it......

Like others said, you can take your KNOWLEDGE and guh weh!

Awwwwww Chickie. Happy First Anniversary. Here's a toast to you both.

The next surely will be in the arms of your huggable hubbie.

Thank you EVERYONE for your support and kind words, I don't where I'd be if it wasn't for this forum. I wouldn't even had known to contact my MP's office if it weren't for ALL of you and your advice/guidance. :-*

Don't get me wrong, I didn't speak with my MP, I spoke with his assistant that works on the immigration side of things and it wasn't all warm and fuzzy. I'm not complaining because at least I got somewhere but I don't think it's going to do much. I emailed the form they required to have Kingston release the information on our file to them, a copy of the sponsorship approval letter, and a copy of the Use of a Representative form hubby completed to release information to me on his behalf. Two minutes later I received a call from the assistant's assistant ::) and she abrubtly asked me what exactly I wanted to know regarding our application. ARGHHHHH!!!! I calmly (so irritated at this point) asked her to find out if Kingston received our file and where it is in the line up. She curtly told me that's the letter of approval I received from Ottawa (my sponsorship app. was processed in the Ottawa pilot office). I nicely explained to her that that was my sponsorship approval letter from Canada and it simply states the application has been forwarded to Kingston!!!!!! She's going to contact Kingston....sigh....
