Hi Keke, am slightly confused. Are you asking if by chance the resident isn't available to receive an attempt for delivery at home, that the mail man would leave a slip for pick up at the local post office?

Hi Halfmoon, I was told that those packges has to be picked up at the post office. I am not sure if that's true. I was just wondering how would someone know when the package is at the post office for them to pick it up.

I am just going to say what I think the process is and if I am wrong then please someone correct me but I think when you get the PP request to bring in your passport, they will try to call you first and if they can't reach you then they will send out a letter thru mail. Once you have that request, I think you are supposed to send in your passports either by bringing them into the office on a Tuesday or Thursday or by using DHL.....when you send these in you are to also get another DHL envelope for them to send you back the stamped passports when they are ready. That is my understanding and someone please let me know if I am wrong thanks

Good morning chickie,

Everything that you said sounds pretty accurate to my understanding as well with the exception of I think some people don't get that initial phone call and the IO only sends the request in the mail. And recently someone got PPR by email which I hadn't heard of anytime recently til now. Also to add... I think in Jamaica, you need to check the post office regularily in order to find mail. I don't think there is a post marker left on the door to mark a failed delivery attempt.

You would have to check the post office to be certain. Unfortunately I don't think there is any other way. :(

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am confused as to why they are still questioning, or verifying your Husband's information, after passport request?

What do you mean hear back good news, shouldn't the next thing you are expecting is his Visa to come by DHL? I am asking since Im in the same situation as you right now..the final stretch.

Only thing I am expecting is his return passport with visa inside?

My husband has a small business we reported so they inquired as to what he was going to do with it...he responded. The visa officer had indicated that everything went through, and that that was it, and now to send in required docs, pp, and dhl return slip.
