Channy,

I can't type for very long as I'm leaving the office however, as a first step, please read the guidelines as this is a very important step. If you follow every step within the guidelines, you'll be fine. Other questions, we'll assist along the way.

Yes, you have to do the sponsorship forms and he has to do the immigration forms and If he is the one coming to Canada then he is the only one that has to do the medical. He can go to his nearest police station and request them (for a fee of course!)

Sorry ignore me, i gave you the wrong info on the police check lol here is the link how to get his police check

Here is a list of the doctors' that he can go to for his medical:

My hubby went to Dr. Gomez (he was recommended to me by our senior lady here *thanks Charlie*) and he was really good and quick.

Hi guys. Whoa, I see some spouses be on their way into the cold! Congrats Royal Lolly and blessed!

That's an awesome way to start the week, and hoping KG keeps it going!! NNNNEEEXXXTTTT!! :D :D :D

Channy, Halfmoon is right. PLEASE read the Guidelines before you do anything else. If your spouse has a computer, read them together. Print a set of the forms for your DRAFT copy, then as you go through the Guidelines you will get an idea of what needs to go where. Once you have read the Guidelines, then start drafting your first set. When you have everything where it should be, then you can do the final set which will be the one you submit.

Start budgeting your fees. If you are sponsoring your spouse only, the total for CIC is $1,040. Canuck's advice is bang on the money, pay the entire amount together if you can. You also need to budget from JMD$9000-$15,000 for the medical (depending on which doctor your spouse goes to), and another J$2,000 for the police certificate. If your spouse has spent significant time in the US, UK or elsewhere, remember you need a police certificate from each country if the time amounts to at least 6 months consecutive. You will also need 8 special sized photos for the application (about J$500) and another 4 passport-sized photos for his medical (~J$200).

If you have any specific concerns after reading the Guidelines, feel free to ask.

they change how to go and get your police record now in jamaica........you just have to go to any of the tax administration offices here in jamaica and tell the you want to pay for your police record...the you bring your receipt to The Criminal Records Office

We are going to get up early every day and wait for announcements; I'm declaring this for all in this forum and our neighbors at POS. Line it up!!!

We've been so patient 11/12th of this year, so KG has to make up and issue triple the amount of PPR's for the remainder of this year.

thank you soo much CHICKIE AND CHARLIE!!! THAT HELPED TREMENDOUSLY, WILL PRINT A DRAFT COPY RIGHT NOW TO FILL IN AS MY FIRST DRAFT :)

Channy I ended up have 4 drafts by the time I was finished!!! Alot of the information on the form can be typed in also.
I consider the guideline as the BIBLE in completing the forms so I stress to please read every word, every line and follow as is.

I would also recommend having a trusted friend/family to review the completed forms over as a second eye.
