Good Evening Everyone.........can someone tells me how would i know that the kingston office is working on a person application

This is my thoughts (please correct me if i am wrong) but I think you would only know when and if they put "In process" other then that I don't think you can tell for sure if they are working on it or not. Another thing might be if you order your GCMS notes maybe.....

thank you chickie72......but what im saying on my ecas it just say application recieve.....so that would just say they have not reach my application as yet then.......it been 5 month now since my papers reach the kingston office..look like they just keep going around my papers then if that the case......lol

There doesn't seem to be any consistency but I've read on this thread that Kingston may (or may not) update e-cas to 'in process' when they are working on your application; it seems to depend on the visa officer assigned to your case. Perhaps there are senior forum members that can share their experiences with us and give us some insight...(and hope & faith!) Recently, a few forum members have reported that their application was updated to 'in process' on e-cas so maybe things are becoming more consistent in Kingston!!!!

So hopefully Kingston is processing my application even though my e-cas still shows 'application received'!!!!

Yeah I cant answer that one either......mine says application received too but I am still in left field as to whether they actually have it or if they have even looked at it or anything. I wish there were more of a way in ECAS to see what process they are at even it is just said something like "sitting in queue to be processed or something.

@ blondie1316 my application have been received march 23, 2012 and i think Kingston received it between July and august... not sure which one.

Well then Kingstonmust be working on your application and if it says decision made, you will probably hear something from them very soon. It is usally a good sign. Did they ask you for ppr (passport)? Or are you from a visa exempt country?

Yep for sure.....all you can do it twiddle your thumbs and wait. If you think about it, all our futures are totally in their hands and we cant do anything about it but wait. Just one day, I would like them to sit in our shoes and feel the pain we go thru every day, waiting and not knowing and not being able to be with our loved ones.......maybe then they wouldn't have so many coffee breaks and work quicker on our apps. LOL

I am new to this forum....I am getting married in March (have to wait until my divorce is final) and then starting the process to get my husband here. Any words of advice? I know that the website says average processing times out of Kingston are 16 months or something like that however, I see that many of the people on this forum have their spouse here quite a bit faster....obviously I want to get him here as quickly as possible, so any tips would be appreciated!

The only advice I can give right now is to start working on the application now because there is alot of paperwork to be done LOL

Good luck and if you get stuck on anything in the app, come back here and someone will surely help you out.

I started a project of getting additional proof together i.e. phone top ups, letters of support, pictures, resort stays, flight itinerary's, etc, etc, etc. since I submitted the original application in March so we're ready should Kingston want additional documentation of our genuine relationship!!!!!

im doing the samething here aswel......i have a big envelope here with all my documents and pic of when my wife was here with all my western union papers i got.....i even have a list of potential interview questions they would ask me at the interview with all my answers next to the questions......so im really getting prepared for anything they have to offer.
