Welcome and stick and stay! :)

Yay! good thing is CIC posted that it is only taking 43 days for sponsor approval!

Sorry, I can't stay an chat, I had company come over just now. Good to see you here Mrs Reckford... chat lata! :-*

OK so I was going over some older prior messages and I came across a question that another member asked stating "if my husbands ECAS states that medicals are received, does this mean that his application is in Kingston now? She was told yes, it means that Kingston has the file..............my question now is this?????? what is the correct answer because I asked this last week and was told no that isn't what it means?????? Also on the spreadsheet, some girls have "App rec'd in KG, e-cas updated to "Medicals Received"......so how else would they know if their application was in Kingston?????

Please help....I know it doesn't mean much to someone else but I would feel 10 times better knowing that Kingston has my file already and that is why I am looking for an answer.

Ok so I don't know of this helps you but when I sent in hubby's application, I forgot to send the medical forms.. I sent them directly to Kingston in august but I was approved in June. About 3 weeks later, I noticed hubby's status updated to medicals received. So that tells me that Kingston would have had to update as I sent them the paperwork. Now I can't say for sure as I don't work there but I would think so.. That however may be a question that we may never know the answer to.. I think that Kingston has your file though so smile :D!

I believe you can see the date your file was transferred from Canada to Kingston when you order your CAIS notes. I haven't ordered mine yet, I just went off my sponsorship approval letter where it stated my file would be transferred. And I'm in the same state of mind as you - going crazy worrying about EVERYTHING!!!!! Does misery love company? ;)

I was approved as a sponsor dec 28 2011 and my file reach JA Jan 10 2012. My husbands ecas updatd to med rec'd which is how I confirmed plus his JA addr info updated at that time. I'm assuming they clearly have the file to fill in his address info

Please, everyone in Ontario and the surrounding area who has or will be affected by Sandy, be safe.

I know that at one point in my waiting game, I asked this same question and I was told that yes, it means KGN has your file when meds are updated. Now that I have ordered my GCMS notes and see that the Mississauga officer updated it before my file even left Mississauga, I know that in my specific case this was not true. Maybe every case is different. I think that a good sign is when your husbands address gets updated. I think the only sure way of knowing is either correspondence from Kingston themselves, or GCMS notes. Sorry if I confused you at all sweetie :)

Hello Ladies!

Welcome back to all those who have been travelling! The wind is blowing so hard out here I can't get to bed :o

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I can't remember. My husband's medical and police record check have expired, should he redo both and send or just the medical? Also, can he drop off directly at the embassy?

For all the 2011's still waiting, this has been a long and trying journey, I'm almost at the end of my rope, I really hope we are all close to the end now!

Mawnin!

Hey LHNB,

I think its personal preference. Although, one of our ladies did say her MP told her that the IO doesn't like it when you redo meds and pcc before they ask for it. I on the other hand was interested in saving time so I sent my hubby to redo both once they expired. With both Charlie and Lostwithoutu, the IO had requested they redo both meds and police criminal check so I went ahead and had hussy do both as well.

Hope I have somewhat answered your question lol

Well I am on my way to work and not happy bout it. Woke up to sore muscles, scratchy throat and sneezing like crazy. Ugh, hopefully my boss will send me home lol.

On the other side, I am hoping all of our ladies on the east coast are weathering the storm. Please just stay safe and I hope that this passes quickly and without injury to any of you. Take care!

xxx

PS NEIKA AND ICESFLUFFY, we have not forgotten about you!!! Don't be shy, get out of your funk, and come say hi ;D November is our month girls!!!!

Hey all, I don't usually (ever) post here because I'm applying through POS but I often read your posts because I find the info helpful and relevant to my case sometimes. In regards to this, I think it depends on when you sent your application. In the past when you did medicals outland (outside of Canada), they used to be sent to the visa office for your country (ie Jamaica, etc). However, when my partner got his done, it was sent to Ontario where they do stage 1. Knowing this was strange, I asked about it and the doctor said that all new medicals are being sent to Ontario instead of the actual VO now. So, if you applied AFTER this change occurred (we did medical about May 2011, so around that date) then your medicals probably went to stage 1 office only (ie medicals received would NOT mean that your home VO has your file). If you applied a lot earlier, it may mean they have your file already (as I think medicals used to be sent to your home country's office). Does that make sense?

I know for my case, my medicals received info was put in in Stage 1 (Mississauga). HOpe that helps!
