Yay chickie! Feels good when stuff happens! Yes he should receive a certificate with his passport photo attached....

Well hubby is doing redo meds today! So I know that we won't hear anything for a few weeks for sure but roll on 3rd week of September and maybe just maybe we could have PPR!

Hoping and praying for all of us <3

NNNEEEXXXXXTTTT!!!!!

Ok so how does he receive the medical certificate????? I thought that got sent to Kingston after it went to the medical labs? How long will it take to get the medical certificate.
For sh*t sake, I just thought he got a piece of paper saying his did his medical and that was it. So you are telling me we have to wait for the entire medical certificate?

No hun, sorry to freak you out... He will get the certificate the same day he does the exam... the dmp sends their own file to be processed. You just include the certificate with your application and that is all you have to worry about...

Morning one and all, hope we hear some good news this week, tired of waiting

Jamgirl is correct, Dr Gomes (the doctor's name) will give him a copy of the IMM1017, a green and white form, stamped and dated to show the dates they did the medicals. The nurse/receptionist wouldn't know, because the DMP himself gives those out.

He will be given a slip of paper to take across the street (literally) to Andrews Hospital to get the X-rays done. The receptionist at Andrews will direct him around the corner to his left to pay the cashier (they actually do take debit cards over there, but cash is faster) and from there he will be directed down a corridor and to his left where he will knock and enter an office and show another receptionist his receipt from the cashier, and she will add him to the line for the X-rays. He will then wait outside the X-ray rooms, down the corridor, and listen for his name to be called.

For the blood tests, these will be done inside the lab at Dr Gomes's office. She accepts cash only, a very nice lady, very efficient and quick with getting the tests done.

So there are more costs besides the medical? or are these tests included. How much money will he need when he goes for himself and two children. I thought the medical was all one price?

No, the price quoted includes all of this, it is just made in three separate payments....

Noone on our forum has yet to encounter an extension request. My husband and I chose to redo his unprompted by Kingston...

Oh ok, cool

Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum, well actually I've been on here since the ending of may just to find out information regarding my file. I have a question. I sent in my application but my husband didn't do his medical. I thought that they were going to sent back my application and that I was going to have to resend it in to mississauga but I got an email telling me that my application is incomplete and in order for them to process it I need to send in the medical paper. The address where I have to send it in is in Ottawa. Does this mean that they already sent my file to Ottawa and their just waiting for my medical to transfer my file to kingstonI didn't even get an AOR.

Welcome sam11 looks like u were probably one of the people who's file got sent automatically to Ottawa for processing... The they opened a temporary location in Ottawa to help with the backlog in Mississauga.

So sorry I got your name wrong

Just sneaking in to say hello before I go to bed. How's everyone doing? The road is rough, but still trying to hold on!!! Here's to hoping that things will pick up in Kingston for September :)

Good Morning All! Just passing thru, how is everyone doing? Been super busy with work n kids, my husband is well adjusted here, no issues so far. For us, I can't really say much has changed. He is still the same person he was in Jamaica actually, just drinks iced caps now lol. He has a good job as a mechanic (which was his licenced trade in Ja) so it has all worked out. I would have thought he would av had more trouble getting used to things, but nope, he just rolling along. He has connected with a couple of his high school friends that been here from time, and he occasionally goes out parties with them...which is good cuz I am sure he misses his friends back home. The only thing left to do is add another little one, but unfortunatly doesnt look like it's happenning anytime soon, so until then we just keep it moving. I wasnt able to read back much to see what's been going on, but welcome to all newbies, and keep di faith to all who still in the struggle, and howdy to all the older members. Hope everyone is well.
Blessed,
MrsLwsn
