Hey Kym the address in ecas has never changed been the exact same since the very begining.

@MrsIwsn to this day my family and friends have never met my husband. In our application we just stated the reason why they haven't met and that we plan on having a wedding reception here with all our "canadian relatives" as well as family from the states and the uk. I don't love being in photos either and pulling out my camera for the smallest thing... I usually give the cammera to my husband, his brother or one of his friends or cuz and I always come home with great photos!!

As for me I'm taking Charlie's advice and trying to get ready for Mr.Blings arrival. I spent the weekend putting up more shelving in the bedroom closet haning photos and going through clothes... OMG what a task gave away almost 9 full big garbage bags of clothes away yesterday... hope he appriciates my efforts :D

Is the address suppose to change once application is in Process?

To the forum Fam who's application went in PROCESS recently did the address change in ecas?

I'm just wondering.

BLING ( I think it was Bling) what's the update on your file?

SUKI did yours change? I think our time frame is a bit simular.

Thank you.

Good evening, good people!

I hope everyone enjoyed their "Moan-day", especially now that it's about over!

Neika, don't try to read eCAS too deeply. Sometimes it's pure laziness that decides how much information goes into that thing, I swear. In process is enough to be going on with, I don't think it matters here or there whether they put in the actual date.

Suki, the countdown is on!! 6 more sleeps, woohoo!! ;)

Bling, that is a lot of clothes! :o I dumped 3 garbage bags full of paper when I was spring-cleaning (and lo and behold, KG started processing my file a week later!) and decided I was officially a Hoarder, LOL. Hubby teased me about getting me on that show. :P

Everyone have a great , safe, wonderful day!!

Ohhhh... and today is exactly 1 month that hubby's status has changed to "In Process-starting processing his file Feb 6th" so ready to hear some good news, a PPR would be fantastic right about now! ;D please..

Morning all,

Well, hubby had the call from KGN on January 31... and they HAVEN'T called back yet. We're getting a little concerned now!

We've sent about 4 emails (one a week - that's not overkill, is it?) and tried to talk to the consulate here in Cayman. They said we should resend our querey along with the file number, and confirm that the medical has been re-done. Almost like there's a problem with the medical but they couldn't say?

So.... hubby contacted the doctor that did the medical, she emailed POS to make sure they had received it and they wrote back :
Usually, we advise DMPs not to get involved beyond the medical exam and
clients should be directed to their processing immigration office regarding
current status and receipt of the medical result.

Just to confirm, the medical was received and the result is available to the
Kingston office.

Hmm... this is scaring me, making me think there's something wrong. I am assuming its quite normal to not hear back from KGN??? Or should I worry??

I attempted making oxtail stew on sunday...OMG I'm good!!!!! Was delish, meat fallin off di bone.

Good evening everyone!

Suki, sammy, make sure you guys are all packed, time is going quickly!

Meg, I am almost surprised KG has not responded, but not quite. They are bad about that, not answering is more their style than answering. Hopefully someone has been given your enquiry and they just need to action it and are taking their time getting off their hands.

AliCat, I have to confess, you are braver than me. Oxtail is one thing I have never tried to cook, and probably never will, chiefly because I don't care for it. Lucky for my husband who loves it, he is great at cooking it! :P

Anyone wanna share their best Jamaican recipes? need some an need to teach myself fi mi ta cook for my hubby! Just realizin I need ta do this quick quick before him come lol

Thanks Charlie!

I dont use recipes, everything in my head, wish I could show yu...real j'can cooking is so hard to be exact in measurements..

Its so true. My sister-law is alwAys asking my mom to teach her how to cook jamaican food. She gave up on asking because my mom could never tell her the measurments seasoning to add to the pot and what gets added to the food changes all the time.

Good Cooks don't like to give up away their secret of cooking.

Question. I was reading on the other forum about how to file taxes, now that I'm married and hubby is not here and I have a child, I don't want my child benefit or anything to change.

Anyone know what I have to do?

Good morning, everyone!

Jamgirl, I hope you enjoy experimenting with the recipes! :)

Kym, I have not heard of it affecting anyone's child benefits by filing as married. It was a simple process for my husband, he just took a copy of our MC to the Service Canada office, and CRA updated his status to married. I believe someone else here said in another post they simply sent a letter stating they were married and that their husband was not yet in the country, and that was acceptable to CRA as well.

For filing the actual taxes, I send my husband a scanned copy of my P24, a form I receive from my employer at the end of each year that details how much I earned and how much tax was deducted from it. I use the BoJ year-end rate for the Canadian dollar and convert the gross salary, net salary and tax deducted to Cdn$, my husband gives it to his accountant and that is that. We have done that 2 years running now, not had any issues.

Well, it's Hump Day, so...A highway patrolman pulled up alongside a speeding car on the freeway. As the officer peered through the driver's window, he was astounded to find that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting. The trooper cranked down his window and yelled to the driver, "Pull over!" at the top of his lungs. "No!" the blonde yelled back, "Scarf!"

It's all you, KG, NNNNEEEXXXTTT!!!
