Hi Everyone!

I am an August 2020 - Spouse sponsorship applicant. Originally time line noticed for full completion of application was 12 months, but due to COVID-19, I am assuming further delay. My first and only correspondent is from IRRC (Sydney Office) which disclosed that my application was submitted to Kingston Visa Office, (KVO) this was received in an email, February, 2021. Medical was also done in February and noted on system that it was received by IRCC .

My questions are:

1. Does anyone know how long it will take for KVO to complete their check and provide confirmation?
2. July 2021 will be 12 months since my application was submitted, but with COVID-19 I am assuming delay will occur, does anyone have an idea of how much more months it will now take, if any, to complete process?

Hi,

Short answer for you is there is no reasonable answer at this time due to the fact that covid has messed things up for most of us who submitted before the pandemic and that's most of who you will see getting through now. So based on the fact that we don't have a regular time frame to refer to it's hard to estimate your time frame.

However the good part is that they are working now so hopefully you won't have a long delay like we did while they weren't working on any of our applications for months some a whole year.

Therefore you can probably just hope that you will be apart of the applications they are working on after they get through the backlog.

I Don't know if that answer is favourable but it's the most honest.

She was in Canada with me (I'm a resident) and the plan was to return to Jamaica and then Canada to facilitate landing. However, IRCC said it was not a legitimate resaon to travel and told us that they wouldnt facilitate landing at the airport if we did so. So stupidly we listened.

Hi All.... They finally responded. After repeated emails, I got a letter today from Etobicoke, Ontario asking for my email address to create an account for the PR confirmation Portal! Yippee!!

Yes, We got PPR yesterday. Pre-arrival on June 1st. Nothing is updated on ECAS or on the Webform

Wow that was fast!! Hopefully that means that applications approved in June may receive ppr sooner. I noticed that approvals from March took at least a couple of months for ppr! Hoping and praying for a quick turnover.
