So true, it shouldnt be this complicated with todays technology. its unfair that you are being punish to wait because you need an interview. I seem them trying hard to get students to apply for visa to come an study in canada.the edu canada sessions they have going on is live and some attendees are on Zoom call.

That’s the very same question I’ve been asking myself why are we being punished... my husband can’t come to Jamaica due to his Job and I’m here waiting to hear something from KVO and they have gone completely silent. It’s painful all my stuff is complete (medical, biometric and PPR fee paid) and I was told that my file is in Kingston. So what is the hold up

Didn’t you say that you applied in January? I think you need to get used to the fact that it’s still gonna take months for you to get through, unless you get lucky, which I hope you do. You’re just going to make it more painful on yourself if you keep thinking that you are going to hear something this week and you don’t. That’s from my experience at least. I don’t want to be negative towards you, but that’s the reality. As I’m sure you’ve seen, they are processing September 2019 applicants and your application is months away. It took 8 months between them receiving all of our documents (Medical, Biometrics and we paid all fees from the start) before we heard anything from them because of the virus, so the reality is that things are pushed back even more. So even if other persons in the group hear something from KVO it doesn’t mean that you will as well anytime soon as we applied months before.

I definitely understand what you mean, but it usually goes by how many people have applied ahead of you as well as if you have missing documents or payments or if they think you have enough documents to prove that your relationship is real and then that puts you back. And then I’m sure they have other types of cases to process. I’m not saying that it should take that long, but unfortunately that’s the case.
