Hi there,

I am wondering if it is mandatory for dependents to have DNA testing done, or is it only done for certain situations?

In my case they sent this message when we asked why..

DNA is required by our office if the father’s name does not appear on the child’s birth certificate or if the father’s name was not registered on the birth certificate at the birth of the child;

Oh No it wasn't for the kids didn't get a response about dependents yet. However I did get 2 tickets on fly Jamaica for $730CAD for hubby for May.. so the count down is on 3weeks until he's here..lolol.

$1,098? that must have been round trip?

One was round trip for the grandmother and the other was one way. If I had just bought them separately the dependent would’ve been a lot more with one way b

They gave you a 1 week warning for interview ??

Yes. I thought it would be like one month. Also, when I log into CIC, under View Submitted Application, there are 3 new things to upload: Digital photo, RPRF receipt, colour copy of passport. Then on the next page, it requires a digital signature to submit.

We've received an interview request. His interview is next Wednesday April 18 . They're asking for 3 new passport photos that meet specification (not signed, stamped or sealed), pay RPRF, passport.

That' great news congrats. I was asked for 3 new passport pictures as well. but no interview date..what is your timeline?

Thanks. I'm getting really frustrated. Kingston had everything since Dec 14 and haven' heard nothing from them until March and only asked for pictures. I'm raising a baby on my own..im just so mad today

Girl I am so frustrated as well. Kingston started processing my application since January 05, and nothing since then. The wait is hard

Girl I know exactly how you feel. I can only say try your best to relax and take it easy for you an the baby..i was so stressed I had my baby a bit early myself..prayera for all of us...I wish Kingston would push to hurry it up
