Canada's visa office in Chandigarh, India has reported a record number of visa issuances for 2012. The office, situated in the country's Punjab region, processes a variety of applications including those for study and visitor visas.
In total, approximately 17,608 visitor visas were issued in 2012, three times higher than rates in 2005. The average processing time for this application was 5 days, a drastic reduction from 12-day processing times in 2011.

Canada's new Super Visa program, which issues long-term visitor visas to parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents, also saw great success in 2012. The Chandigarh visa office issued over 3,700 super visas with an approval rate of approximately 80% and speedy processing times of under 8 weeks.

that is very good.....I dont know what they are doing over there in India but i hoping that they can rub off on the kingston office and tell them there secret for sure

WOW.... Could they play favorites any more?! I would rather everyone have an equal wait time then have to see this much butt kissing going on. Kenny has some explaining to do!! “As the cultural and commercial ties between our countries grow, it is good news that more Indians are visiting Canada under our faster, fairer immigration system.” Fairer to who Kenny?!?

Hey there........they need to bring that system to the caribbean people as well.....it hard to know that we as caribbean nations that most of the other country want to visit all our beautiful islands all ova they treat us this way like we are no body....it take to long to for this immigration process for sure.....the minster have to do something about this for everyone.....it hard been away from our spouse for so long and the have there every night sleeping with.......
