Hi there,

I have posted here couple times on other threads but decided to open a separate thread to get your opinion.

My parents who I sponsor are just about to submit their medicals. My mother had formation in her kidney over a year ago and to be safe doctors removed her kidney. After they investigated the formation they concluded it was cancer 1st stage (early stage). She did not have any complications, never took any drugs for it and no chemo. She is currently back to work and active and healthy otherwise. Her other kidney is fine. No cancer or kidney disease history in the family.

Anyone can let me know based on your experience what is going to happen after and what our chances are. Anyone know similar cases that gone successful?

I really appreciate your help guys. Very worried.

Main reasons for refusal on Medical grounds are:
1. Person has a infectious disease which can endanger public health
2. Excessive burden on health care system

Since your mother did/does not have a communicable/infectious disease, it should not be a problem. However, if she requires excessive health care due to Kidney removal/Cancer that may be an issue. But as she has been cured and doing well it should be fine. Take all the treatment reports and progress made after treatment to the Panel Doctor. Final decision will be made by CIC Health Panel. Goodluck.

thanks RajaJi. i was reading the cic immigration handbook and it says there that any kidney cancer related cases will go as M5 automatically.. that means they will send us fairness letter, no?
