Recently through ontario, I added a Legal Middle name, but I did not change my legal first name or legal last name.
Old Name: Smith, Bob
New Name: Smith, Bob Johnson David
I basically only added "Johnson David" (example) to my legal full name
Reason I did this is I wanted my full name on my canadian passport to match my iraqi passport, cuz in Iraq it says Bob Johnson David, cuz sometimes I get trouble when I travel
Now, do I need to add the middle name to my SIN, Citizenship and CRA? Most people I ask say, no need, only if you "want to", others say, its mandatory you have to, its the Law or you will get in trouble.
Most of the people say, no need, as federal entities ask for ur first and last name, middle name is usually optional, same with provincal,
What do you guys think? Does SIN/Citizenship/CRA need to be changed to?
And how come, when I went to Service Canada to add to my passport, why dont they automate it and add to rest of federal stuff lol.. or maybe is that done already?
