Yesterday we received our work permits and you all are the only ones who will understand how much time, stress, and effort went into achieving this "simple" first step to becoming PR and eventual citizens.

We presented our 100+ page application and documentation at the border with all 3 small kids in tow, filled with anxiety and exhaustion, and left with such a huge relief and excitement! I couldn't stop looking at that shiny holographic maple leaf at the top of the page. Hooray!!!!

And now the stress of moving internationally before school starts for the kids.
