Just mail my application

My hubby just mailed my application on last Saturday (15 sept), but he choose the cheap postage fee that take 5 days (21 sept) to deliver my application to cic, compare with the expensive one that will only take 2 days (18 sept) to sent my application to cic.

I have a question, is that mean my application would be delay for 132days (44 days in progress 1 x 3 days) on the working on application from cic? :'( :'( :'( .....so sadddddddddd

44 days - step 1, assessment of sponsor
3 days - the diff between 21 sept to 18 sept

Yes! I mailed our app November 6. Did you receive any doc from CIC?

Its 44 days since CIC receives the application for the first stage of the process to finish.

so in your case it would be 44 days plus 5 days in transit.

what is the 132 days you are calculating?

don't worry; Its a along wait game from now so don't feel impatient now it self

If he had sent it on Sat on the 15th CIC should have it by the 20th or 21st and should be added to the queue on the 24th and 44 days from then.

I don't understand what you're talking about?

You are saying CIC received your application on September 21. (Or around that date.)

In that case, 44 days since September 21 is November 4 so you should be getting Sponsor Approval very soon.

So yea you should be receiving the SA soon; I would still call and ask since its already past the 44 days since Nov 4th

Why are you multiplying by 3?

So yea you should be receiving the SA soon; I would still call and ask since its already past the 44 days since Nov 4th

I multiply by 3 because of the extra 3 days before arriving to the CIC office.

So the formula should be 44 + (1 x 3) = 47 days. Not 132 days.

You should get Sponsor Approval in early to mid January! (I guess maybe a few days later possibly because of the holidays?)

You just need to relax. You will probably hear something about sponsor approval at the end of December to the beginning of January, as long as you have a completed application and all your forms are up to date.

Thanks everyone for easing some of my concerns. I checked the cic website and see "Working on applications received on September 15, 2014" and it worry me since I just send mine... :-\
