Just Landed

So after a painstaking 5 years of waiting for Immigration to approve me for Permanent Residency of an Inland Application , I finally landed Yesterday, interview was around 10 minutes was straight forward no B/S.

Why so long ? I had a petty criminal offense from England more than 5 years ago so basically I had to wait 5 years to be deemed re-rehabilitated ( no criminal charges brought against you within 5 years of applying for immigration to Canada ) .

So if any Brit out there is thinking of applying to come to Canada please be aware if you have a criminal record this will hold back your time for landing !

Reminds me of the comedian who (as part of his act) said he just got back from Australia, doing some shows. When asked at the border (on his way in) if he had a criminal record, his reply was, "I didn't realize you still needed one to come here." Ba-dum-pa! I know, I know, you had to be there.
