I am a 2007 applicant from Jamaica. I received my AoR in march 2008. In February 2009 i received a letter requesting birth certifcates, job descriptions, school certficates, proof of funds, police record and my relatives PR in Canada. All these document were delivered in person to by local visa office in April 2009. Since now i have heard nothing. I have sent them an email in February 2010 requesting an update on myfile. Their response was my file was with a VO for review and i will be advised of my status in due course. If an when my file resurface will i be asked to repeat my police record again. I heard it's only valid for a year.

Dear POW-POW

Once visa office request any documents to applicant they will not ask again. so don't worry and they know very well validity of document they have requested. Before validity expires they definitely see your document.

Have patient...

and don't send any email to your visa office again n again you will get standard copy and paste reply.
