Qorox / Explorer and To all seniors .. incase I missed someone... was just wondering .. since you guys have already landed
and are in toronto and seem to know a lot of information about immigration have you ever thought of making it a small business opportunity.
I do understand your altruistic nature of helping others but how about helping people who want to pay and it is not wrong to take payment for good advice. Atleast you can say ... pay what you feel it was worth to you .
I know a lot of people and including myself would like to get some advice and would have paid for it .
Personally I have seen two kinds of lawyers
1) the ones online are totally useless, they ask you to email them , when you complain that it not what you wanted they say we didnt ask theright questions and charge money for they did
2) if you meet the local lawyer , i would end up pay 75-150 minimum for 30 mins ..
You could do the job somewhere in between through your consultancy . you dont have to say you are an immigration expert but you could say you can offer suggestions pre-legal that I could clarify and make my case ready before I meet the lawyer ... who would have otherwise fleeced me just to know which category I could apply under or to know if could use notariszed copies of my experience letters.
It would still be service as you share your knowledge , the economics keeps it fair so that your time is not wasted as you settle down in your new environment. I personally know several people in toronto who are working and would like to apply but would need a little help and would not want to waste their hard earned $$$ to clarify a few questions at the same time do not have time/access to research the application process either because you are @ or work place or not very tech savvy.
Just a thought ... ..do think about it ... I am sure with your google skills you can research how can open up a small business ...your reputation here speaks volumes of your knowledge .....
