Dear friends,

It's been a while since I last visited this page as I don't belong anymore to June applicants after my application got rejected.
I also don't seem to be interested in visiting it again as I still have good memories with this thread that I want to forget.
Just wanted to take this chance to thank every one for his/her support and specially those who helped and supported me in my inquiries.

I am putting a +1 for the following members because they supported me in a way or another.

I started to consider the option of learning French and apply through Quebec QSW, haven't decided yet though...
Wish me good luck as I wish you all the best of luck.

Hi All,

Could you please help me with a query..
As per CIC website, i need to send originals for experience certificates. However, i only have one copy of it (no extra copies). Can i provide notorized photocopies of exp. certificates along with a written explanation?

Pls help

Thx
Anubhav

Hi Anubhav,

As per New Delhi Vo check list, you need to submit reference letter + employment contract (or offer letter) for each position you held. This reference letter should be original letter. It is also different than experience letter you are talking about.

I could not provide reference letter from an employer so, I submitted the photocopy of experience letter. If you have lots of experience and you are providing experience letter instead of a reference letter for one employer, it may be OK. If this is not the case, you should try to get the reference letter by all means or provide very good explanation.

Refer to item#7 in Appendix A of ND VO check list for more info.

I have posted sample format I found this forum:

In this context,
Reference letter - Letter from employer with all the information requried by Canadian immigration
Experience letter - A letter from employer that you already have before starting on canadian immigration. In India, this is a relieving letter or any letter you got from the employer confirming your employment.

For example, If I worked for a company X few years ago, I would have some experience letter from them (relieving letter, etc.). For Canadian immigration, I would need a reference letter. If this company X is closed now, I would approach my ex-boss to provide this reference letter on his/her new company letter head. If he/she is not going to do that, then I would submit whatever information I have (experience letter, offer letter, paylsips, etc), and provide explanation.

so u mean the reference letter should be up-to-date, while experience letter might be an older one.
bit confusing, anyways, thanks for ur effort.

WHAT if the experience letter has covered all of those mentioned information requirement in the instruction??

I mean, do I still need a reference letter, if I've got that kinda experience letter?

pls reply.

Hi Lamhey,
I may have confused you a bit. Just submit whatever they are asking for (Exp/Ref letter). Try to get latest and upto date reference letters from all employers. If not, provide explanation.

Refer to ND VO checklist. There is no confusion in the explanation.
