Any idea why test invitations are taking so long lately?
Back in March and April AORs were receiving their invitations in less than a month +/-. Now, it's been over two months since AOR with no updates. It feels like the division responsible for test invites has either slowed down drastically or experienced major staffing issues. They never seem to improve - things just keep getting worse.

Jul 8 AOR here and still waiting... I was expecting to receive it 6wks after aor as that was the trend for April and May haha! I wonder what happened but someone here got the invite after a month.I checked the May 2025 thread. Seems like people with AOR around July 7 are getting Test Invitations. I suppose that's where the "front line" is

My location is Toronto. Submitted an online application (family of 3 including myself). Got some delays as my wife had to submit fingerprints. Rough timeline as per the tracker below.
- May 22, 2025: Submitted application
- Jun 24, 2025: AOR
- Aug 28, 2025: Background verification status has been updated to Completed.
- Aug 29, 2025: Citizenship test status has been updated to In progress.
- Sep 5, 2025: Scheduled for citizenship test
- Sep 8, 2025: Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed.

I have similar timeline for submission - but got request FP on Aug 5 and Submitted them in early Sep as I was not in Canada before.
Can I ask when did your wife submit FP?
I will update my post... Guess I applied in May... Sorry, I am in the wrong thread (I was going by the application tracker earlier).
- May 22: I applied
- June 11: Got fingerprint request for my wife (did it the same day)
I didn't hear back anything from them until August 29. Contacted the department handling the fingerprint - no response from them either.
I didn't receive the email for the test. Can you share the email subject? I want to check whether I missed it
