I agree. But I see people not leaving even for emergencies which is just absurd. If we know what will affect us, its easier to balance it is what I think.
If your copr is ready your temporary visa will be not valid and then you need to apply for visitor visa to comeback before you leave the country you get the pr card. So it is better to leave the country after you receive your pr card.

An emergency is different, but if its just for pleasure, then i suggest do not do it. There are ways.. but it will just make the process longer.

If you receive p1 abroad, you need to tell the official that you are not in canada and the date you’ll be coming back. On that day you just send them another email just as a reminder.

If you have p2 do not leave.

If by some reason you need to go for an emergency and you receive the ecorp outside of canada, you need to apply for a TRV and send your passport to be stamped for a temporary visa, which can take 1-2 months

I didn't know this was an update. I hadn't noticed but my gckey also is in the same status but not sure when it changed. Anyways lets wait with hope!
