5 months trapped in lpp and nothing yet.
They implemented a systematic strategy to decrease the average processing time for citizenship from 24 months to 15 months. However, this involved prioritizing newer applicants, granting them citizenship within 3-4 months, and deviating from the first-come, first-served (FIFO) approach. Unfortunately, those of us in the backlog experienced prolonged waits and felt neglected.
Pls order GCMS if you would like your application to move faster. I didn't get any updates as well since my test was updated in August, so I had to order GCMS like others did.
Last week, my LPP was updated in the morning and I received GCMS same day in the afternoon.

How many months did it take for your LPP to complete?

Hi everyone,

Quick question, I got my oath email today , but I'm unclear about something. I applied for my daughter and myself ( a minor) and I would like her to attend the ceremony (online) but we have different seat numbers can we just use one computer to attend ?
And would I have to put both seat numbers when logging in ?
And is another email sent with the link when applying for e-certificate?

Guys, I almost order GCMS notes every 20th day. Today I received the GCMS notes for all 3 applicants and noticed the following changes, even though LPP is still Not Started:

1. APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT shows the following information now as oppose to being blank in last month notes:
Due Date: 2024/01/16
Assigned By: SO03728
Assigned To: WL30988

2. A new note is added to NOTES section:
Created Date: 2023/12/17
Updated Date: 2023/12/17
Restricted: N
Label: General
Text: File assigned to WL30988
Office: Scarborough Citizenship Operations

Is this a good sign? Does that mean LPP will be completed by 16th Jan?

Also the noteable thing is that only my tracker (Main Applicant) had a ghost update on 5th Jan 2024. I also wrote an email to Scarborough office, to which I received a generic response and the application assignment date is exactly after 10 days.

My timeline is as below:
  • Type: Online application
  • Primary IRCC Office: Scarborough
  • Secondary IRCC Office: Sydney
  • Location: Toronto
  • Physical Presence Days: 1096
  • Application: Family (3)
  • Application Sent: 27/06/2023
  • Application Delivered: 27/06/2023
  • AOR: 27/07/2023

AOR : June 2023
Citizenship test : September 2023
Oath date : 31st October 2023. But I requested to postpone my citizenship date as I was in India due to some emergency family reason.
They responded saying my request to reschedule is approved.
I was back in the country (Canada) in December and I emailed IRCC that I am back and they replied saying they dont have any date as of moment, once they have oath date they will let me know before 2-3 weeks.
Any idea when can I receive my oath date? Is there any way I can expediate the process?

What does your paper file location say? Also the note you have mentioned above, is it note #1 or #2?

because I have a very similar timeline and I also have the same note but it’s under note #2. Note #1 is blank however.

No ghost updates only the system update on October 27.
Last update was background completed.

Were any of your previous locations, E-Grant DF?

oh okayokay, honestly I would say it’s a good sign. That means they assigned your file to an officer. And it least you don’t/didn’t have the infamous E-Grant DF.

Hahaha…but I have read in this group that someone was told by IRCC call centre agent that E-Grant DF means decision finalized. And I was thinking that it is better than this Review Ready PM01.

anyhow, we can only presume, nothing is concrete with IRCC. Let’s hope for the best.

Highly highly highly doubt it’s Decision Finalized, otherwise we, me and a couple of “e-grant DF” applicants, wouldn’t have our note #1 redacted if that makes sense cuz if it’s decision finalized then why redact it!

But you’re right it’s only assumptions. Hopefully we reach the finish line very sooon.

You have a point. We can never be sure so let’s stay positive. Eventually we will get there.
