I reply last week, and I got nothing. Must change between the groups, mine was the Vancouver
I am not sure about your case — what I do know is after I sent the oath form with my signature, I got an automatic response/reply email within minutes of sending the form.

I would surmise that as long as you met the requirements, you being abroad right now does not matter. It will only matter when you take the oath —- as you are required to be on Canadian soil. Did you send your application online?
Yes, I have met all of the requirements and I left Canada after I applied. I will be on Canadian soil for the oath. I am ready to travel as soon as I am notified. I sent a paper application, which is why I am puzzled as to what is taking them so long.

Hi, My
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I applied for my citizenship application on June 9th, 2021. I am seriously beginning to lose hope after months of no progress on my file. I am overseas and waiting until I get called for the oath. My timeline is as follows:

Application sent: June 9, 2021
AOR: September 17, 2021
In Process on ECAS: October 22, 2021
Citizenship test marked Completed: Apr 27, 2022
Physical Presence, Prohibitions & Language: NOT STARTED
Oath Ceremony Scheduled date: NOT STARTED

Does anybody have a similar timeline? I am getting worried because I have been overseas for a long time and they may have put my application in the freezer. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Hi!My timeline is almost the same as yours..
Application sent: June 7,2021
AOR : Sept 15,2021
Ecas (In process) Oct. 21,2021
Test marked completed: April 19,2021
Physical Presence, Prohibitions & Language were marked completed on the 5th of July..

and still waiting for Oath ceremony until this writing.

Thanks!

That is a similar timeline indeed! At least you got your other sections marked as completed. I am yet to reach that phase. I hope the DM to oath phase is quick.. but at this point I am not holding my breath. The least logical application process I have ever seen…

I have a friend with a similar timeline to yours. He applied on June 12, 2021. Got his test done March 2, 2022. Last week he got scheduled for an interview on September 22nd. You might be called for an interview before the other steps are completed. Hang in there, you should have an update soon.

Thank you for providing hope, but I wish not to get an interview. It would just prolong the process and is redudant since I provided more documents than what they were asking for.

I think the interview is for all of us. I don't think we have a choice in the matter. And look at it from the bright side, I know it is a long wait and tedious but you are ahead than most of us. I applied on March 2022 and don't have an update yet. Be patient, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Did you take the test outside Canada? It appears that IRCC often delays the applications of people who took the test outside or are otherwise known or perceived to be outside (like if you updated your address to an overseas one). In fact, someone just started a thread:

Before COVID, many if not most people used to get interviews, but since the then, most people don't get interviewed. Seems that these days, the people who get interviewed are mostly those who took the test outside Canada, as well as older (2020 and prior) applicants, and some randomly chosen folks.

I was not asked to do an interview. In fact, the only time I talked directly with IRCC officials was during the oath.

I got oath letter on Sep 9, 2022, and it scheduled for Sep 29, 2022. But due to travel in the first week of October, I have asked them to reschedule it.

I did not know that. I thought it was for everyone. Thanks for the useful info.
