July 3rd - submitted birth certificate, medicals and other forms (didn’t have child’s passport by then).

July 20th - submitted passport copy.

July 27th - PPR

Timeline:

AOR - 21 June 2021 (Outlander ; COR Australia)
Medicals passed/Biometrics: 19 November 2021
Baby born and webform query for same : 19 May 2022
PPR (just for her and her husband) : 13 June 2022
Documents request for new born : 20 June 2022
All documents submitted via webform (no upload option on portal) : 06 July 2022
Medical request for new born (even though it was already submitted via webform: 30 July 2022 ; Submitted again via webform same day
Updated proof of funds request (upload option created) : 16 August 2022 ; uploaded same day
PPR for all family members: 18 August 2022

Here’s my timeline. It would have been sooner if only I didn’t take as much time in submitting the right docs.

Jul 31 : RFV - Ottawa
Aug 1 : Asked to change my VAC to New York
Aug 9 : RFV - NY
Aug 15 : Passports submitted
Aug 16 : Passports received confirmation from VFS NY
Aug 17 : Asked to send the photos again (I sent the wrong size by mistake)
Aug 18 : Sent another package with photos
Aug 19 : Email from VFS NY that the application has been dispatched to IRCC office for processing.
Aug 24 : IRCC portal status updated to Approved.

Instead of a reduction, IRCC has increased processing time by an average of 6 months across board. IRCC's press release on the 26th of August also set an expectation of 20% application backlog by December as against "clearing all backlogs by December" as stated by the minister himself sometime in June.

IRCC's inhumane approach to older applications is disappointing to say the least, we are treated as mere statistics "20% by end of year" just so IRCC and Fraser can claim that most applications are being processed under 6 months come end of year

Received an ADR for spouse on 20th September. Submitted the same day.
Got a couple of Ghost updates after that between end-September to mid-October. Nothing after that.
