I could be wrong, but I thought due to COVID-19(SCO still closed as well), they are processing applications considering valid biometrics taken in different application streams for the same client, Afterall, the UCI did not change.

There are a few posts from people who have been approved with old biometrics.

Hello all,
I got an update EE/CEC-Outland
But I’m not sure if i passed Medicals or not cos the profile didn’t change, neither did I got biometrics letter, only that my previous biometrics done 2018 for my Work Permit Extension was updated into the profile with the expiry date 2022.

My progress bar say 32%

Is this how it is for everyone who has gotten MEP/BIL? @legalfalcon

MEP: profile still says; “you don’t need medical” and not “medical passes”.
BIL: previous biometric updated. No Letter

When your meds pass, you will see the change in the status in your account clearly indicating that your meds have passed. Also, when you get a BIL, it too will show in your MyCIC account.

Do you see in the biometrics section, the biometrics numbers updated with an earlier one that you might have done for your work permit or other streams?

No. CIC states that biometrics given for other application can not be used for PR

Eligibility check..probably Yes, since the Biometrics request was generated. However the same cannot be inferenced for Medicals. The additional document request may be unrelated to either Eligibility or Medicals. You should keep an eye out for communication from IRCC on your profile.

Why would an old biometric, that is isn’t needed, updated in an entirely different application stream?

Got BIL request on 27 August.
Medical pass : same day
My progress is around 34%

What is your progress bar showing? Ive been checking the biometric website everyday and no news. Are you guys doing the same?

Guys, someone say IRCC will continue to process our application while waiting for our biometrics. Is that correct? Where did you hear that from? I haven't found that on any document, appreciate if you can share the link

Just to make sure - did many people experience that the progress bar appears, the UCI changes to the permanent one, but no change in medicals or BIL? I saw that some have, just wanted to make sure it's normal and what should I except next....
