Hi @legalfalcon . I’m outland CEC still waiting. I hope I don’t sound a bit too dramatic, but (god forbid) in the case they find one’s eligibility not pass, do they immediately reject and notify you without doing security ? My profile currently simply says that my background is currently in progress. Appreciate any knowledge on this matter. Thanks !

Haven’t received the actual COPR letter, just an update on account that application is approved
No idea when everything was passed...my account says background check completed on Jan 19. And got application approved in my online account today. Still need to wait for actual COPR letter
I ordered my GCMS note on Dec 31th 2020, and got response yesterday. My agent told me that I actually passed every stage, and got approved. But due to the cvoid-19, my golden email might be on hold until further notice. In the meantime, my cic account still showing nothing.
Also, I had reviewed my GCMS note briefly, and I think my timeline showing on the note might be helpful for those people who haven't seen any movement in their application for a long time.
First of all, I am an outland CEC applicant, my AOR was on June 16th 2020. On my note, the eligibility, the criminality, and the medical has all passed, and the final tab showed APPROVED.
Here is my timeline.
AOR: June 16th 2020
Medical pass: August 7 th 2020.
Criminiality: Started on Oct 26th 2020 (the same date that I received a ghost update on my cic account)
Finalized application: Started on Oct 31th 2020 (also I got another ghost update on my cic account)
I also saw a tab called application assignment, and its due date was on 2020/11/26. I am not sure what it was but I am guessing this is the date that I got approved?
But all in all, I think I am relieved knowing that my application got approved. Don't lose hope ifyou haven't seen any progress in your application, probably you had the same situation like mine.

If your eligibility is not passed for any reason, it will depend on what is the reason behind it, base don they you may be given a Procedural Fairness Letter or a rejection.

The BGC refers to criminality and security. This is why the BGC status changes twice during the processing of the application. Since your AoR is June it may be very likely that criminality, info sharing is done and eligibility is in progress. Once Eligibility is passed, the BGC will be in progress again.
