@legalfalcon

Thanks for your help and guidance.

Now I have submitted a BOWP application, does this automatically mean I can continuing working until a decision on my PR? or do they need to approve my BOWP application 'officially'.

My work permit expires next month.

A temporary resident must apply to extend their period of authorized stay before it ends. If they have done so, their period of authorized stay as a temporary resident is extended by law until a decision is made [R183(5)]. Such a person is considered to have implied status as a temporary resident during that period.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/implied-status-extending-stay.html

Congratulations!! Did you get a ghost update, if so, may I ask when?
Thanks. By GU, you mean? I had a GU this week, when the technical glitch was happening, but a while later it turned to 'Approved' other than that, there was no GU.

Congratulations.could you please share ur time line.
HI, This is our timeline:

Journey 1:
CRS - Score : 459
Profile created: August 11,2019
August 20,2019: 457 ( CRS cutoff - ITA Received)
October 20,2019: On the last day and after trying many things after the deadline, unfortunately I had to decline the request.
- I took medical exams for me and my spouse
- We didn’t take for our newborn son

I was scared that I would be blacklisted or something as I declined it after few hours of the deadline, as I thought the deadline was October 20,2019 23:59:59 whereas it turned out to be October 20,2019 00:00:00. We literally cried for doing the mistake. got ourselves together hoping everything will be alright.

December 2019: gave IETLS again, 4 more points increased so CRS- 463.

Journey 2:
January 15,2020 : Ontario NOI received( They sent NOI to anyone between 460-470)
February,2020 : submitted the NOI application
March,2020 : Received further documentation request related to my work experience from ONIP and responded to that
May,2020 : Received Ontario PNP and CRS went to 1063. got ITA

June 18,2020 : Submitted the application.
- Took police certificates again
- Took medical exam for my son

August 5,2020 : Received Biometrics letter
August 28,2020 : completed biometrics
October 21,2020 : completed medicals
November 19,2020 : Received PPR email
November 24,2020: passports delivered to Ottawa office
November 30,2020 : Ghost updates with Approved status, ‘100% completed’ and background check status showing completed on November 18,2020

December 5,2020 : Received Copr with passports back with deadline for Copr until 2021/05/19.

Key takeaways:
- Looks like our medicals were extended and in copr it shows that they are valid until 2021/10/19.
- Apparently, We are lucky and feeling happy that the mistake of declining the application after few hours of deadline didn’t impact on my profile.

Any further questions, will be happy to answer.

I am 100% progress bar today. They just modified the display message : “
Your application is taking us longer than usual to process.

About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete.”
Really frustrated!!!!!!!!
