Hi all, I had my Citizenship Oath ceremony on Dec 20th and I got the certificate today.
Thanks to all members of this forum since so many useful information has been shared through this forum.
Wishing all members whose file are still in process that they too soon get invite for Oath.

Hi,
My back ground checked in Oct 2019.
Test in Feb 2020
Oath in 5th Jan 2021 but i missed due to out of country.
I came back in May 2021 and still waiting. you told that may be check back ground again. What is the validity of Background check and normally how takes to check again.

Hello Everyone,

My oath date was 5th Jan 2021 and i missed it due to out of country. I came back in May 2021 and send my Air Tickets and Stamp Pages.
Now after 8 months i check my online application status , it mentioned BackGround check INPROCESS but before it was mentioned COMPLETE.
My first background checked in Oct 2019 and i didn't make fingerprints.
Please give me some information about my matter. Whats going on with my file?
I was just request the reschedule of Oath ceremony.
Now what they will check my background?

Please reply about mail and anyone has faced this situation? I am too much worry about this situation.

Hi, I applied on 28 May, 2019 and did the online test on 30 Aug 2021 and passed. Then Scarborough office asked for PP copies which was sent on 1 Nov 2021. Since then, no update.

What about you? Did you get oath request yet?

Hi, a friend of mine went through the same situation and he waited for more than a year to get a second oath invitation. However, his background was not re-checked.

I am in the same exact senario with diff months.
im june 2019, test was sept tacker updated sept 27th. got PP request and sent nov 19 and nothing since. scarb office too

honestly the only real thing to do is withdraw and reapply online, except since its been so long you feel like its any day now

Same with me June 2019 Applicant did my test on 28 sept then pp was sent on november 10th and that is all no updates at all. My application is at Scarborough office

HELLO Everyone.

I missed my oath due to out of country on 5th Jan 2021.
On 6th Jan 2022 my background section went to in process and DM also in process but on 17th Jan 2022, background and DM again turned to Completed.
Please give me some information regarding my case that after DM, now i will get the Oath in how many weeks/months.
Once i see the sheet, people get their oath normally with in 4 weeks.
Can i think that my oath will be come in a month ?
