I got an email saying your application has been updated,,, when I checked there was nothing except I provided the documents yesterday its saying as application status as submitted .. is it ghost update?? My backround check is showing as IP2 means last stage...... any idea guys ????

wow thats fast, i havent got anything from them yet.
My background check still says: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"

Its good news!

that is last stage good for you too .. first its N/A then its like
Next step is to do background check ,,, then its IP1 i.e we will send you message when we will start your background check... then its IP2 which is last “we are processing your background check and will ask you for more info if needed etc etc....

So you are also on last stage ....i checked other posts that when you get ghost upates means they are working on your file and ppr soon ...

sorry what's IP1 and IP2, i dont see it on my page.

They keep updating ... they won’t send you any email but it still shows application updated when you check your account

ITA: 29th May 2019
AOR: 6th June 2019
Medical Passed: 15th July 2019
Ghost update1 : 16th July 2019
Ghost update2: 29th July 2019
Status: Pending
Got following updates from Goodale
Criminality: Passed
Eligibility requires review
Security Not started.
VO: Edmonton, AB

So, i assume 29th July 2019 ghost update was to confirm the criminality is passed.
Is it better to order GCMS?

I honestly think it's always a good idea to get your GCMS notes. If you're in Canada, you can order it online through the Government of Canada portal for Access to Information requests. It costs $5.

Vo Edmonton is too slow... how did you find your ghost updates ?? Did they sent you any emails or just on account showing something updated?

How long does it take to get GCMS .. 30-40 days?

I ordered mine last week and I got a message saying 30 - 40. I think the process is the request is reviewed by a human who then approves it and the system finds and takes the notes automatically. Not 100% on that but the website seemed to imply that.

When i login i saw profile updated in the status of the application on those days. I got email only for Medical Passed which came 1 day later than actual update into the system. I actually saw till now 3 ghost updates. 1 prior to medical, 1 after medical and 1 after 2 weeks of medical passed.
