Anyone has any idea what is the normal waiting time between test and oath ceremony for
Vancouver applicants?
Hi,
There is really no way of telling. My interviewer told me "wait for oath invite in 2-3 months, most likely 2 months", but some other people were told "between now and June" etc.
Best way to gauge would be to look at the sheets- from what I can tell from previous months, Vancouver is issuing the invites 1 month-ish after DM (sometimes sooner), but that's just speculation based on a small sample size (the spreadsheets). Here is June's:

Hello everyone.

Just an update on my file. Passed an exam in Montreal yesterday, January 24th. As of today, January 25th, status changed to Decision Made.
Regarding the oath, received standard response of two to three months.

Would appreciate if someone updated my info, line 42.

Thanks!

Hi!

I applied from Toronto, my AOR was end of August and haven’t heard anything ever since... is anybody in Toronto still waiting like me? I don’t know if I should call to follow up!

Hello Senior Forum Members, I have a question on which I need help.

I and my spouse applied for citizenship together as a family application. We have recieved AOR and are waiting for test invite.

My spouse has now decided to not take Canadian citizenship (as it requires losing Indian citizenship). I understand that the test invite will be received by both together, pls. advise how and at which point should we withdraw spouse's application without impacting my application.
a) should we email right now
b) should I proceed to test; and attend ceremony - will I be allowed to do that alone if my spouse does not appear for test and does not communicate anything (as it is a family application)
c) should I proceed to test; and carry a letter about intent to withdraw from spouse

Also is it possible to get a refund of processing fees for spouse application.

Thanks a lot.

Did u check the difference between OCI,PIO,and and indian citizenship regarding your decision as Indian citizenship is automatically and leagally ended when oath is taken.

If the dession is final its better to withdraw now as IRCC is already overloaded and it might be faster for a single application to process .

Hi there,
I had the same situation and I applied for PR at the same time I applied for my citizenship and FYI, they renew PR card not less then five months. It is a long process also. My son and I applied in June and got our PR cards in late October. So, don't bother!!!
I am in a similar situation, PR ending March end and hoping to get a test invite in Feb (in Processing ecas - Aug 28th). Any suggestions on whether it is better to get the PR renewed or wait for Canadian Passports (in Vancouver?). I may have to travel in May. Thanks.

I don't know much about Indian laws so I can't advise on getting the citizenship or not, but yes, if you do decide she will not get Canadian citizenship, definitely withdraw the application ASAP. This will most likely mean your application will process faster as single, and also means that IRCC can free up the time to process other applications :)

Reg Oath after DM, I was told by the officer that they will ensure that 12 months deadline is not breached. So anywhere from 1 - 4 months depending on the queue.

Hello everybody,

Does anyone know how long is taking from DM/Test to Oath in Calgary? I passed my test on Nov 29, and from what I can see in the spreadsheet, they are already booking ceremonies for March 15. This would be 4 months after my test and I was told they would call me in 2-3 months.

Thank you!
