Technically, less than 4 months. We have a strong application and no red flags. Did everything up front (payment and medical, police certs etc) so that saved a few months of processing.

Wow thats great! I hope the same happens for us :)

Passport received, contains visa which is valid for 4 months. Will be on a plane to see be reunited with my wife on the 30th :)
Is there anything else she needs to bring with her when we do the landing at vancouver airport?

Hi Yuz,

Any news? What does your ECAS status say under sponsor? Under applicant? Hoping good news from you :)

Hi everyone,

I'm sponsoring my Japanese wife via outland. The CIC just got my application today (June 30) so I'm a little late to the party but I figured I'd add myself to this thread. I'll add myself to the google doc as well. Thanks to the person who created it!

Hi Cyrus952...any news on your front? Are you able to check your ECAS? Hoping to hear some good news :)

C.

Awesome! She got her passport with a visa yesterday!
It's all done!

Just one question: For some reason her COPR, under PERSONAL DETAILS - PA, says Marital Status: Single.
However, below, under SPONSOR INFORMATION, it shows me and relationship: Spouse.

Is this ok for entry? We were unable to change her status there, since we got married in Canada.
Does this matter much?
Any thoughts?

Hello Carlos! Do they send you the passport to the VAC?

Hi! when they ask you for your passport, do they ask you for two photos? Thanks!
