What should I do?

So....my husband applied for another visit visa to the ADVO and was rejected AGAIN. Being from Syria and living in the UAE, the VO was not convinced he would leave Canada at the end of our visit even though

1) he has been living here for 8 years, and has good full time work (we included an employment letter) and that it was preferable for us for him to stay in the UAE while his PRV was being processed
2) we had applied for PRV (included my AOR letter) and I wrote in the invitation letter explaining that I was staying with him in Dubai while we waited for our PRV, and that I had return flights booked (me only - it was too expensive to book a flight for him full fare just so it could be cancelled) back to Dubai
3) I explained that I had found out recently that my dad has an aneurysm and that it would be nice for my husband to be able to see him in person should anything happen in the future
4) he has a stable travel history...coming and going to / from Dubai for the past number of years from various countries

Honestly...I think these people have no heart.... so disappointed and discouraged...and preparing to go back to Canada one more time without my husband....I don't know why they can't believe it when I tell them that we just want to visit????

So disappointed right now.

So, I finally got to log into my eCas and found that they slightly misspelled our address. A slight typo in the city name, so even if they did send something to our address, I'm pretty sure it would arrive. Just to make sure, though, I sent an email requesting they change it.

Regardless, its pretty frustrating. I looked over the copies of our application and we put in our address correctly, but they still manage to screw it up when they put it in their database. I understand they get plenty of applications, but the way you have to go about notifying them of a "correction" or change of address in your application is so inefficient.

Luckily, I believe we're still at the stage in our application where no mail will yet be sent to us as we just recently recieved AOR and requested that correspondence would be done through e-mail when we filled out the application.

Sorry to hear that. I also find that if you're married to a Canadian citizen, they suddenly don't want you to enter Canada until you get your own Permanent Residence. I applied too to see my wife even though I have a lot of proof I would return to my country, and they rejected me immediately. It's really a disappointing thing to have to go through with. Soon we'll be allowed to live there forever but in the mean time, we're treated like a bit unfairly

Yes, we have to count our blessings! We're lucky we are able to be with our spouse or have our spouse close to us. Imagine military spouses...They have to let their significant other leave to a potentially dangerous place. And it's not even guaranteed they will be able to talk or see them again. I don't see how they do it. We're so lucky that our spouse is just a phone call away. This too process shall pass!

I think you're right Chilkootcee, I will only receive SA and no AOR...but I'm fine with that. I just want to know that my application is ok and that something is happening. I understand it will take time.
