I got my SA today guys. I opened my email it appeared right in front of my eyes out of nowhere. Cannot tell how happy i am. I really pray to god that everybody who is waiting out there they get their soon too.

Just received email from CIC in Singapore saying that they received our application and my husband now has his own UCI number.

That's great news!! I'm wondering if the email indicates the date tht your package was received there at the VO? Or do they simply say "We have your application"? Any other key info in the letter? Still waiting for my AOR 2 from VO.

Mine said the date the application was received in general, June 11 that is. I think that's how they consider it.
Not all offices send AOR though!

And i received the email on 7 of August from VO Paris

I wonder why some do and some don't? You would think they would be consistent. Actually, it's CIC we're talking about so I'm not all that surprised! My friends had their application processed by the same VO that my husband and I are using, and they received AOR 2, so hopefully I get mine soon, if they are still in fact sending them!!

Same here, there's someone else on here going through the same visa office as me, they got SA after me, but they got their AOR #2 before me... (edit: I didn't get AOR #2 yet) I wish this whole process was a bit more predictable lol

Taffy, that's the date they received your app in Mississauga, not the date the visa office abroad received your application. Ecas will most likely say application received until they start processing your application. But the Ecas status is not a reliable indicator at all, so I've heard from other peoples experiences!

Application received in Mississauga 11th April . Document request 11th of june SA Aug 5th ,sent to london August 5th .I don't know what month i am in June , July or August .

Hmmmmm. Must be the date they re-received your complete application? What did you mean 'June 10th in London'? I think you are June and that the date indicates once they have a complete package?? Did you not receive AOR from VO?

No London don't send out AOR. I looked on my husbands ecas as he is the applicant and it said application received June 10th,but thats the date they requested additional information .The CIC officer called me the 5th of Aug ,asked me a question then said i will forward your sponsorship by email and your file has been sent to London.

I too am a June applicant (CIC received it June 26) and I was approved as a sponsor August 19 (my VO is Paris).

When I entered my email address on my application I inversed two letters, therefore never got the confirmation email (I had to call and they confirmed my approval). They told me it might take up to four weeks for them to resend an email with the confirmation.

Normally it wouldn't be a big deal to wait, but I'm in Quebec therefore (from what I understand) I have to send my CIC approval to the MICC for a certificat de sélection du Québec. Does anyone know if this mistake will stall the process. I was under the impression that I had to fill out the MICC forms (which I have already done) and attach the CIC sponsor approval with the package and wait for MICC's approval. Which would definitely stall the process.

However on CAS it seems to imply that CIC will inform MICC that I have been approved and MICC will send the documents to me to fill out and it is my duty to return them completed. Which would not stall the process since MICC has not contacted me.

So which is it ? Does MICC send me the documents, or do I print and send them along with my CIC approval ? I was hoping the instructions would be on the CIC confirmation letter, but since i have not received it, I cannot be sure.

Meanwhile is my file on it's way to Paris, or will it only be sent once MICC issues a CSQ ?

Thanks so much guys ... and for those of you in the process of applying, triple verify that your email is well written, it's a stupid mistake that can cost you - if this forum had a "bash my head against the wall" emoticon - this is where I would use it!

Your file will be sent directly to your visa office, however because u live in Quebec, u need to go to the quebec government website and click on sponsorship and you will have all infos.
the email cic will send to you will include the procedure on how to complete your application
