Hi everybody, thanks for starting this thread. My Canadian husband is sponsoring me. Our application was received (acc to Canada Post) on 18th June. I did my medical on 13th May. I am in India. Lets hope..

the world was A LOT different 12 years ago, and i doubt that applicants landed in 3 months time for EVERY visa office.

hi everyone i am also new to this great forum and a june 2014 applicant with visa office of Paris.
is there anybody else in this thread going through Paris visa office.

i want to ask

if the case is fully straight with all necessery docs completed all marriage prrofs, upfront Medical done, upfront fee paid already, Police checks also done in this case how long Paris office will take to process my application? Any idea.

I'm going through the Paris office too. The website says 8 months, but I've seen people get it after 4-6 months.

Lets hope for good for us I am from portugal where are you from. Also cic have increased the time for step 1 in sponsorship to 55 days lets see when our files will be transfer to Paris. My wife is sponsoring me.
May be if the docs submitted already with the application are complete then the process will be faster.

Paris seems to be one of the speedy visa offices. I bet the wait for SA will seem longer than waiting for PR approval!

Just wondering if anyone sent their application with form IMM 008 Generic Application Form for Canada that was not the June 2014 updated form? I had the previous form and sent my application on May 29 at the post office, went out for delivery June 2 and did not see that they had updated their IMM 008 form. A little worried now..

Do you know when the form was updated we sent ours on the 3rd, we did not send the updated version. Wonder why they keep changing the forms.

Kev1n, i remember it was updated in late may.. i don't know if you guys will have to resubmit that form, but CIC *sometimes* accepts the older version of the form if it didn't pass so-so much time since they updated it. i hope it won't affect you. good luck June applicants! still a lot to wait - CIC received ours may 9th and still no word from them, so we're in for a long wait.
