Did anybody see any ECAS updates this Tuesday? Or are we waiting until Wednesday due to Easter?

Thanks! Good luck to everyone.

Relationship is no problem. Criminal checks have not been done yet. Medical they are contacting the panel Dr to see if they are going to extend or not. I have another bring forward date of July and a medical date of Nov. I am not looking into anything at this point until my ecas changes. As of today it still shows applicant received. They are still missing my husband divorce papers which I have sent them twice now. Given up on that until they contact me .

Hey Taffy,

I ordered notes too, but I got physical file copy(exactly what I sent). What mistake I had done while ordering notes, can you figure it out for me? What are notes like, I have no idea how they look like or what info they contain..coz in my case its the FILE which i got and one paper on top of that...Paper is like a front paper where my file number is written, VO name is written and it said ATIP notes requested etc etc.....

Do I have to select ELECTRONIC notes instead of Physical file, while ordering notes

Hi can anyone tell me what is the MP? And what is purpose my wife said she will contact MP next week as my application processing time is exceeding next week!

MP means Member of Parliament. Your wife will ask her MP to contact CIC on her behalf to find out more about your case to see why it's taking so long.

yes, you certainly don't want to be ordering your physical file, you want to be ordering the electronic notes.

shy_guy even if you ordered physical notes you should have seen something on your file, with electronic notes they come via email and you print them out .

There should be something in the physical file too however in this age everything is filed as data, its very well possible that there could be more information in the electronic notes more so then the physical file as I am taking an educated guess here, the VO's might work on the computer more then using the pen.

Any one received any updates. All this waiting is doing my head in.

No updates. Sent request for case notes today. Called MP's office as well and left a message. Wonder if they'll call me back.

what is the reason for contacting your MP? what's the specific issue with your application you are asking for help with?

Well that's not what I wanted to hear. So have to wait till tomorrow to see if ecas gets updated. >:(

Your MP office will call you back. They have a three day turnaround...

Apparently they are able to find out the status of the file or something like that.

Yes they can . The VO has to answer your MP. They may just say its getting ready for review or its in line for review or they might tell you they have lost documents and waiting for your reply from the email you never received. You never know with CIC . Typically you don't ask for help from your MP until your case is over due but it is not out of the norm either. My best friend works for an MP office and they make inquiries all the time for people, even after a few months of the application is received.
