;D Hello all!! the spread sheet is looking great! I think most of us got our SA's and if we haven't yet I'm sure it will be any day now, have faith and keep your head up.

Does anyone know how I can find out if my file was transfered to Havana VO? when will I know if they have started working on it.... I think I feel more helpless now than before

Hi Mrs. DoryBaby! Some VOs send an acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) and some do not. I'm not sure if Havana sends one. But I'd be rest-assured that your file will reach its destination! Unfortunately, you might not hear anything from now until an interview/passport is requested! Our VO is Santo Domingo (Dom. Republic) and apparently they do in fact send an AOR, but we haven't received one yet, so who knows!? I've also heard that Ecas is a very unreliable indicator of how your process is actually going, until it actually says 'In Process' or 'Decision Made' under the Application for Permanent Residency side- then you can start paying attention to it!

I am june 27 applicant . I called cic they said they re doing some kind of background check and if i dont hear anything within a month i have to call back. I am freaking out. ??? ??? ??? ??? did that happened to anybody else? pls shed some light on it.

this is normal. they have to do comprehensive background checks on the sponsors. some take longer than others because it depends on how quickly they get the information they are looking for. the cic person probably just said a month so you don't call them everyday. it doesn't mean anything is "wrong", so there's no need to freak out.

Ottawa is still moving in the fast lane!! I just received a request for additional documentation (IMM5409—Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union, even though it's only supposed to be required of co-signers) and two more photos, along with waiver of interview. They are looking at our application 26 days after SA!! Needless to say, the additional documents will be in the mail ASAP.

Hopefully they are looking at a number of our June applications now. I just heard from them because our package was a bit short on what they wanted.
