Hey guys, I had same those 5 lines updated on Sep17, 2015 and since then I haven't get anything.

Yeah, I am not being very hopeful of this update either.

In my case i did upfront medical examination in June,2015 last week and i paid my RPRF (based on request from CIC) in Aug 3rd, 2015 week. Couple of days back i called CIC and they confirmed that they have my medical records and RPRF status as paid, but i dont see anything else other than the below

1.We received your application for permanent residence on June 30, 2014.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 19, 2014.
3.We started processing your application on August 19, 2014.
4.We sent you correspondence on March 3, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5.We sent you medical instructions on August 14, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

hi i have an urgent question!

I have applied for my pr under cec in august 2014. and I'm currently in canada as a temp resident.

I wanted to know is it safe for me to go back to my home country or should i stay in canada till i get my pr.

I ask this because firstly i haven't done my medical yet but that shouldn't be an issue as i can give an upfront one and leave.

But what bothers me is that if i leave does my application still get processed here or does it go to my home country visa office which i know will take forever to process . also how would they determine that I have left.

Please advise .

Just logged into ECAS ... I now have 5 lines showing
The addition of we sent you notification of receipt of your application / and a line saying when they sent the instructions for the medical.

The MP I approached contacted CIC on my behalf yesterday ... And was told it was all fine, near the end - still doing background/security (usual blanket message) so by sure of this is because someone physically touched my file to look - or just co-incidence?

Hi What's your timeline, pls. share...

Paying RFPR upfront on Monday

On September 30th,I made the payment of RPRF upfront after seeing my ECAS literally to standstill from past 6 months (with just 3 lines updated i.e. (A) We received your application for permanent residence on June 23, 2014.(B) We started processing your application on August 11, 2014.(C) Medical results have been received.
Now after upfront RPRF, I see the lines updated as below,
1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 23, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 11, 2014.
3. We started processing your application on August 11, 2014.
4. We sent you correspondence on February 14, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. We sent you medical instructions on February 15, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
6. Medical results have been received.
If I see the points 4 and 5, they had asked me certain documents like IMM 5669 SCHEDULE A, Notice of Assessment and pay slips of some particular months. I had provided them the required documents and accordingly I got acknowledgement mail. And even the medical tests (point 5) were received and accordingly passed as per GCMS notes.
I am not sure, how long it may go from now.. :-[ :-[ :-[

My BOWP is expiring in Feb 02,2016. I can apply four months prior to the expiry date i.e October 02 2015.
I am waiting for PPR request. Should I wait till I get PR(hopefully before feb 2016) or apply for BOWP. It cost $500 for two people, that why am hesitant. Did anyone go through similar situation. Any suggestions will help. Thank you.

I think you should apply for BOWP. Remember CIC is taking a long time to process the BOWPs too. Here is the thing that you may want to note: If at anytime, after you have applied for BOWP, you get PPR, you can call CIC and withdraw your BOWP application if it has NOT gone under process yet which most likely won't go under process for at least 2 months going by the current trend. And if you are able to withdraw the application, they will REFUND the BOWP fee.
