Hey Nick,

How long it took for you to get medical request once they received the additional documents? I am in the same boat but no news on MR yet.

As a silent user of this amazing forum, just wanted to give you guys some news, maybe it can reduce the pressure for you as well.

I received my medical two weeks ago, and last week a second set of additional documents were requested.
Based on my previous knowledge and origin country, those additional docs are for security checks to finalize the application.

Because of these delays, I was losing an extremely important opportunity, but now happiness and hope came back to me.

Im a little bit confused about my application i dont know what happen .....i send my application last year and Cic received june 13, 2014 until now no update ( keep waiting ) and my open work permit will expire on Sept first week this year. any advice please if i will need to apply extension for my open permit and il be 4 yrs on september is there any chance that my extension will approve? thank you

3 months after the first additional documents, which means after 12 months in total I received the medical.

One thing I noticed, after my status changed to "we started processing your application" (after about 12 months),
they actually started looking at my application and communicated every few days.

The last additional document request also said deadline 30 days or they will finalize the application. (gave me a slight hope)
I managed to calm myself and relax more, although my life is currently screwed because of the delay in PR.

Time taken to get BWOP approval is more than 3 months. If they reject my extension of BWOP for xyz reason(god knows.. they can do anything)... so result will come for BWOP after my current work permit exprires. Can I reapply again, if they reject or I have to leave the country.. no other option.

I was exactly in the same situation as yourself.
I applied for BOWP in March and my WP was expiring on May 7.
I received my BOWP approval on MyCIC on Jul 1 (after 100 days).
Until I was approved I was going bonkers with stress, as my wife was out of job too.

CIC doesn't rejects the BOWP unless its due to a mistake in your application.
Just review your application once again and if everything is alright then don't worry about it.
Just wait patiently and everything will be alright. Looking at the current BOWP timeline, you might get PR before the BOWP.

Hey guys, just got the following reply from CIC.

Dear Applicant,

Our office confirms that your application is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. If you are requested to submit documents in the future, please ensure that they are still valid and will not expire within 6 months as this could delay your application.

Note that the processing times provided on the website were the averages of the time it took our visa offices to approve or refuse 80% of applications during a specified period in the past. As such they may not accurately predict future processing times.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

We are all confused souls here.... ;D
I guess you can wait possibly for the end of this month and if you don't hear back anything from them, then you can apply for extension. And if you do hear back from them (rprf or ppr) after you have applied for extension, then you can try withdraw the extension application just by calling them if they have not started processing it by then. They will also refund your money in that case.

July is almost completed. May end ppl are getting PPR or medicals(second review one)... August is on currently hold.. didnt see any medicals being issued... I think they should start June applicants now.. Or they will continue working on Aug ppl..

that can be from second review. To give us some hope, we need someone from 03-June to 25-June.

today I submitted BOWP application online, which is very confusing, took me a couple of hours straight.

also I emailed CPC-Ottawa to get information for adding spouse to application as I will get married in one month.

just feel so stressed out since there has been more than 5 months after medical exam submitted, and I sincerely hope that everyone will get their RPRF and PPR soon!!!!!!!!!
