June 2013 - Outland Applications!

I posted the other day about calling the 888 info # and it not working. I guess it really only does work if you call from Canada. My wife called the 888 immigration number today and it worked for her. They said she was approved to be my sponsor on July 28th. They said they sent us an email but she didn't get one and neither did I. We even checked the junk folders. I have tried to track my application online but am having problems. They told her today to use the UCI to find the app online. If I use the unique client indentifier they gave me it says they can't find me. If I use my application # , it finds my info but all the info they have is that my application has been received. Is this weird?

When my wife spoke to the 888 # this morning , they told her they sent my application to Ottawa to be processed. I thought they would sent it to one of the offices in the states since I am from there. Is this weird? Can I contact these offices? I emailed the ottawa office last week asking about the phone number and my application. They responded that my application was not in that office.. maybe it just didn't get there yet.

Relax. Everything seems in order with your application. I didn't know that the phone number doesn't work in the States, but I am glad your wife was able to contact them. I received my SA through regular mail instead of the e-mail, and it took 10 days to get it. It can go up to 3 weeks to arrive to your wife. And I still don't know why some applications go to Ottawa while others go to LA. Ours went to LA even if my husband is here with me in Canada. It's a mystery. Have faith. Everything will be fine! Ask your wife to call them again at the end of the month just so you can have some peace of mind. Also, at the end of the month, you can e-mail them again - at Ottawa - and check if your application arrived. As for the UCI, it takes a while to be activated. I hope this helped a bit. Oddly enough I got a letter from CIC today. First apparently we overpaid for our paperwork so they are refunding us. Second my wife was approved to sponsor me like we already knew. Third the letter said our file is now in Los Angeles. Whomever we spoke to on the phone (888 #) last week said our file would be in Ottawa. How weird eh?

Will you please give us more information so I can add you to the spreadsheet? When was the application sent? When was it received (as per tracking number)? When did you get your SA? And when were the medicals done?

At least now you have an idea what's going on. They go back and forth from Ottawa to LA. I really donno the criteria for choosing one visa office over the other. Mine is supposed to be in LA as well. We will see. May applicants were already asked for their passport... that's about 3 months only!! Which means this is very very fast. I hope we will be that lucky too and get our PPR Best of luck!

For what Embassy? I am using the one in Paris that is on strike I guess.

I've seen people from May also getting their passport requested within India!

According to her when she checked her Ecas earlier she read DM under sponsorship application and medical received... Its really so fast huh..... Is there anyone here who has the same application status with mrsalvaro? ..Goodluck to all of us here....

I actually thought that ecas is rather late in updating our status online. Our sponsorship approval & file transfer was last July 31. But on a positive note.... I saw that under my PR Application staus it says that they already received the medicals.It just made my day...because I assume that they've already matched the medical with my file for permanent residence application. I really pray to God to have PPR in 2-3 months.

Hello mrsalvaro so meaning this is a good sign for us if our status on our ecas was medical received?Yahooooo!!! Hopefully it wont take so long to have our ppr... please God...

The "Decision Made" status refers to her sponsorship portion only. If you sign into ECAS using the sponsor's information you will see the same thing. When we set up our application package we filled out the use of a representative so I can see information on both the sponsorship and application. So when I sign in using my credentials (I am the sponsor) I can see two "Decision Made" statuses, one for my sponsorship, and one for my wife's application. When I sign on using hers, I only see just one (for her application).

So basically both of you are at the same stage in your applications. Both apps are sitting in CEM.

helo scos thanks for that information.....I was just wondering why our status is just only decision made for the sponsor then for the permanent resident application is still Application recvd..I thought once your Ecas changed into medical received meaning they are starting to process your papers and mine I thought they hadn't recvd my medical yet,,,when do I expect to change my status from application recvd to medical recvd? thanks

In my case sis, I havent recvd any chnges ,,still application recvd under my PR application status.. anyways sna sna nga sis, they will work fast on processing our papers..AMEN
