I'd like to share my experience
Timeline:
Applied online: May 1st, 2013
Passport request: May 29th, 2013
Passport sent to the consulate in NY: June 12th, 2013
Passport received at the consulate: June 14th, 2013
Passport sent out: June 19th, 2013
It's noticeable to say that I didn't know that they sent my passport out until July 19th!! They didn't send me an E-mail to let me know. I knew by chance as I was actually withdrawing my application!

did you check online there is an application tracker. I think that is the only way to know. otherwise, are they supposed to email you? My bf is also waiting.

Hi.

I applied for TRV on June 20th through myCIC online application system. I was canadian Permenant resident (PR) but it got expired way back. After 3 weeks I got a reply from them with a form attached for PR relinquishment which i have signed and uploaded it into myCIC account. Approx how much more time would it take for the TRV visa to process now? Can it be possible that my visa has been approved now i just had to relinquish my PR status and thats it ?

You are lucky I had planned to take an Alaska cruise on July 27th. Applied for TRV online on June 2nd . But no reply.

Same...applied on June 2 and no response yet.

I applied online from Texas, on 10th June 2013.
Received the PP request after 14 days.
Sent PP immediately to NY.
Got the Stamped VISA in PP by USPS in another 14 days.
Excellent service.
