Hi guys,

Just a question, I know it may be silly or has been answered before. Do I need a visa to land at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara? I am not from a visa exempt country. I don't want to delay landing to apply for a U.S visa if I don't have to. Hoping my passport will come back soon:)

What you do is go to the US side, tell them that you want to return to Canada and do a flag-pole landing. They will issue a refusal letter which you bring to the Canada side to do your landing. From what I read, this refusal is just an "administrative refusal" and shouldn't influence your future US visa application.

BTW when did you get your PPR?

Unfortunately you can't skip going into the US, though you can try your luck. The legal process of landing actually requires you to "leave" Canada (unless landing at a CIC office), which requires entering the states (even to just be refused).

My ECAS changed today to "Decision Made". Passports on their way, can't wait to get landing done.

Hi, I sent my passport on 21st and it reached on 22nd May morning. I hoping that we will get our passports back in 2 weeks. mostly in the week of 3rd June. This wait time is killing me more than the wait time for last 11 months.

I got my request for passport last month and sent it to Ottawa. Now just waiting for it to come back.

For your lucky folks here that have got MR requests already, was this the only thing you received at that time? Just curious as I have saw on a couple other posts that the MR and the PPR as well as RPRF all came very close, some all at same time.

I'm very hopeful to get the MR request in next 4-6wks {Oct applicant} as I was hoping before end of June as the summer months last yr appeared to be very slow processing. I was planning a trip back home for beginning of Aug, but knowing my luck that will be when I need to send my passport away. :)

Yes, this wait is killing..I had posted my passport on May 15th, reached Ottawa on 16th, hopefully it would come in a week from now

I think it varies with each applicant but I got my MR and RPRF on the same day, different emails. I got the PPR much after CIC received my medical results. But once again this varies, its not fixed a certain way. As per my experience after getting your medical request things happen one after the other and you do not want to be travelling at that time if you want to get things done fast. The time to travel would be before you get your medical request but ofcourse depends on how flexible you are.

Hope this helps.

I got the MR and RPRF together. My ecas is updated as medicals received. Waiting for a response from CIC now. I know certain cases where they received the PPR in a week after receiving the medicals. I guess it all depends on the VO who is handlisng the case.

anyone has a telephone number for CPP-O ? It's been 8 weeks since i emailed a copy of my passport and paid the fee and I still have not received my COPR. I called the contact center but they advised that they don't have any access to files at CPP-O. This waiting game is just stupid at this point.
