Hi Everyone

I have applied for PR under CEC in June and received AOR in Nov. I've been waiting now for medical requests, which will probably take sometime. I've a question regarding police clearance certificates. Is it necessary / mandate to get RCMP criminal record check cert for PR, If I've stayed in Canada ?

I've recently moved out of Canada, and am wondering if CIC people may request for RCMP cert. I am based in India and not sure, if i can put a RCMP request with Canadian Consulate here. I've send them an email to check the same.

Is there anyone, who has applied/ requested RCMP from outside Canada ?

It's not required unless they ask you to submit them.

Nothing yet. I see mid-May applicants are starting to get MR, so June may start by mid-February or (more likely) March, since June seems to be about a month delayed compared to May.

Yeah, that sounds right.
