yes. Since the basis of this info is passport, it doesnt suffice
We need either matriculation or higher secondary or school/college leaving certificate, if none of these are available - then affidavit
Milind,

We would have submitted the metriculation certificate (or marks sheet whichever applicable) and which normally has the date of birth mentioned in that and this has been submitted along with the other educational certificates.... right?

Wont this suffice the purpose? Do we need to explicitly mention in any additional written document?

I also fall under the similar case which drives me nuts... I have not yet received any AOR or any update.

i checked E-case nothing yet until October one guy told me October they will open our June application case

Hi everyone,
My name's Sushant, from India. I am trying to immigrate to Canada for work purposes and to get permanent residentship but I'm quite unoblivious of the job scenario over there. I'm from the banking field and I'm working here in Mumbai, India for a well known private sector bank. I'm a team leader handling a team of 5 looking after the bank's Corporate Internet Banking portal. The profile is partially process related and partially system testing oriented. Prior to this, I was working for a internationally wellknown Fortune 500 company for a period of 4 yrs 10 months for the credit cards LOB as a Portfolio Risk Analyst here in India itself

I was wondering if people like me with the above described profile have enough job opportunities in Canada to look forward to work and migrate there for real
I would not shy away from doing any kind of work but I still need to know if my desired profile or anything close to that is available in the Canandian job market. It would be of great help to me if anyone could provide the contact email ids of Job consultants or agencies in Cananda.

So I'm putting forward my dilemma to you guys asking for your help to make me understand my stand in the job market in Canada.

Cheers
Sushant Anchan

hi Sushant,
there are job opportunities in Canada for you, you just need to have the right credentials. because some jobs in the banking sector are regulated.
Visit www . csi . ca to explore the career map in the fincance industry in Canada. or click directly this link:

And also if you have more questions start a new thread as this thread is already for those who have applied in June 2012 and you are filling it with unnecessary questions not related to this thread.

Regards,
R.

October? that's a really long wait ...

Hi,
My application kit reached CIC- Sydney on June 18th. My CC is NOT charged yet.

Does CIC send any kind of acknowledgement when the application is received ? will it be to my inbox or by mail ?
or
Will the CIC send me only the file# directly ?

Should there be any issues with the application form (like missing docs, explanation required etc), would CIC contact me via e-mail or by post ??

I am slightly concerned as there is no activity at all.. Just worried if my application has actually reached the correct destination :-(
Any enlightenment on the above queries will be greatly appreciated !

They usually send it via email, but you could get it in the post. This is your AOR - it's a standard letter with your file # in it.

If your application isn't complete (missing forms, forms filled out incorrectly), your entire application will be returned. If you get an AOR, then they consider your application complete. If they then determine that you were missing information, then they may either reject your application or request additional documents. This can be via email or post.

Don't be too concerned. The CIC had one of their main offices closed (Buffalo) and are having budget cuts. There's going to be a slowdown in processing for the foreseeable future, so just wait it out.

Thank you very much Seton.

Hi friends,
I applied in June , my application reached on 16th jun and cc charged on July 09. Today I received an email from centralised intake office with application reference number but subject of email doesnt say anything like AOR or something. It's mentioned in email that your application will be forwarded to visa office. Any suggestions welcome . Thanks

Seton thanks for your response. I have one more question that how i can check my application status and what would be next step after AOR.

Application status: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

Your next step should be your medical request. There is a chance you may get a fingerprint request (if additional criminal record checks are necessary) or requests for additional documents. However it's more than likely that the medicals be next up.

Sydney office received my application package on 28th June. I have also attached just the certificate of DOB from CGI for Birth Certificate. Now that they have returned the entire batch, what have you done? Which document are you attaching now, for Birth Certificate? Also, are you just sending the rest of the documents as such, ie, the same forms you had filled up earlier?
