Hi everyone,
Just few conerns though about reference letter.
I know a friend that got refused his CEC app due to his employer refused to give him a letter stating his job title, total hours worked, and duties performed; but he included an explanation letter about it, all his pay stubs and documents required by CIC. What can he do? Can he appeal and re-apply since it was his employer has been an A** to him. He has all requirements except that letter that his employer refused to provide.

The letter is the basis that the CIC uses to determine that the job was skilled. While it is unfortunate and not his fault his employer refused to provide it, it is the main basis of being eligible in this class.

Without evidence that he performed the duties he applied under, the CIC really can't approve his application. He will need to find an alternative way to prove his duties matched the NOC code.

What is the reason the employer gave for not giving an employment letter?was he a contract worker by any chance?

All our medical results are already received by the embassy 4 days ago. I'm really curious when are we going to have our passport request? 22 months is our processing time. But it already exceeded. It's 23 months now. Hayyy. Help please

True that eh! How does he suppose we could help him? If you have a bone to pick with CIC, then bug them and see how that works out. Oh wait, the more time they waste responding to pointless queries, the more time it will take them to process your file - as is said on the CIC website. Think about it!

What's more....every file is different and so are timelines. If your security/background check has not been completed yet, then I'm sure there is a reason for that. The published processing times are averages, and not standards, which is a big difference.

Spamming this forum wont help you get any closer than where you are right now.
