July 2022 Citizenship Applications

Is it true that paper applications are being processed faster than online applications? I have seen mixed answers to this question, but from the spreadsheet, I can tell that many paper applications have been processed faster than online ones.
Is there a reason for that? Also, I have seen for some people, between their test being completed and physical presence, language proficiency being completed took a week and for some took more than a month.

Any thoughts on that?

They were up until May. Since June they are almost same pace with a few weeks of difference.

I also read some where that they want to clear paper applications backlog. Soon everything should move to online process. May be for now it seems some paper applications move fast.

Based on the spreadsheet updates, I have not seen much activity in January for the July 2022 applicants (online ones). There might be some updates and I think they will update things in bulk.

There was a system update on Jan 10th, and my exam results were updated on the 6th. I am still waiting for the other things to be completed.

I took the test on 12/28 and still waiting for the tracker to show TEST COMPLETED…

Got an email today morning requesting all pages of passport scanned and BCID copy. Not sure why. Anyways, I sent it off the same day itself. I got the test invite while traveling and completed it as well. Returning to Canada late Feb 2023. What should I expect next? Please see my timeline below:

July 6th 2022 AOR
BG Complete: Dec 5th 2022
Test complete: Jan 11th 2023
Language, physical presence and Prohibitions: In progress
Citizenship ceremony: not started

I received the same request. So strange since it was not a part of the application itself. Send it within 72 hours of getting it. Just waiting now. My background and test is complete.

It only for paper applicant. Won't work for online ones.
