Wrote my test on April 23 and status changed to completed today!
Background and test are completed, everything else except ceremony is in progress!

I’m sure you mean up to 6 months. People have gone from test to oath in a matter of weeks. Average time would fall around the 3-4 month mark from timelines posted on this forum.

Mine is Family (2 person) paper application from Windsor, ON
below is time line:

Application filed: 1 Oct 2021
Background completed: 9 Dec 2021
Citizenship test: 14 Jan to 3 Feb 2022 (Notification received on 10 Jan)
Test completed: Jan 31 (Gave test on 29 Jan)

No update since then.

14 days after test completed it finally showed as complete.

End of January
