No updates except inprogress on 26 Nov 2021 and background check complete on 21 Jan 2022.

Same!!! What’s taking them so long!? My application is so straightforward that I am getting frustrated by the lack of updates. They should just finalize an application after the test and not leave us hanging..

After 4th Feb when Citizenship test pass updated there is no update at all, usually they say within 3 months oath ceremony invite comes, but in my case there is absolutely no update.

Just to add, I also raised the query about my file status on 15th May, which I have not heard yet.

I've been stuck still 'In Progress' since everything except oath updated to completed on 27th May. Anyone else in a similar boat?

My theory is that even though the oath ceremony is online, they conduct it with a group of people in their pre-defined geographical region.

They will fill you up in the upcoming vacant spot in your region (even though spots are available in other regions) and will send you the oath invite may be 3-4 weeks before your oath is scheduled with the email containing the instructions coming a week before the oath ceremony.

Hence if you are in a region that has many applications finalized your oath invite may take some additional weeks to come compared to other applicant who is in a region with less finalized applicants.

Just my theory, I may be wrong.

I wish I knew my region at least; I’m in Victoria but the test invite came from IRCC Calgary, not sure if my oath invite will be coming from Calgary, too or somewhere in BC this time.

Hi all,
my status changed to DM in the old tracker and the new tracker updated on 8 Jun as all completed except the Citizenship ceremony - Not start. I did not receive any email about the Oath date yet. But I am traveling abroad (my daughter will study abroad for 1 year)on 12 July ,so I don't think IRCC will assign me a date before our departure date.

So, should I write an email to IRCC and request an urgent case? we are July 2021 paper application with Case Processing Centre - Sydney.
