Did you receive the oath invitation letter yet?
No still nothing. But folks on the Scarborough interview thread suggest it is sent a week or two before the oath itself. I'm reading other folks who got an update through their tracker (invited for citizenship ceremony, etc...) but no email quite yet. Based on replies it seems the email arrives like 15-12 days before the event itself.

Can someone update my timeline? It looks a little different from the spreadsheet given there are different steps now during covid, but all the details should still be there:

AOR: Sept 06 2019
In Process ecas: Can't recall, but likely sometime around Oct 21 2019
Test Invite letter/ecas date: March 09 2022

Citizenship Interview Date: Oct 14 2022

Also something I have realized: the citizenship tracker portal isn't really up to date. I've been calling IRCC every few months over the last 3 years and I realized that they have a more up to date vision of where my application stands. At times they'd tell me some things are completed (like prohibitions) but they would still appear as not started or in progress on my side. Also, when the tracker updates, it would sometimes show things being completed a few days before even though they only got visible as completed on my end a few days later.

All that is to say that calling IRCC is unfortunately a necessity--what they tell you about agents on the phone not having access to different info than what we ourselves already see online is false. Different agents over 3 years have at times suggested/inferred they saw something different and much more up to date on their end.

Nice! Is it an in person or online ceremony? How long does the ceremony take overall? Like do they give you a time bracket or a specific time appointment for the ceremony? I have another work commitment on the same day as my ceremony and would love it if I could avoid postponing it lol.

After 3 years and a half of wait, I finally got my citizenship interview (Zoom, online) on Nov 28th and got my Citizenship Certificate on Dec 6th in the regular mail. Had my passport in hand two days later on Dec 8th. What an adventure this has been, a really horribly long process made abominable by the covid delays and some frankly inefficient practices by public administration. But it's finally done! |

I'd appreciate if someone updated my timeline for others. All the best to everyone else who are currently waiting and those to come.

I would assume so since I saw some folks here have an in person ceremony at the end of the month, I won't know for sure until I get the email which I expect will probably come a week or so before the due date, I'll update here when I know :)
